Voluntary presence
Anyone may decline an activity, withhold private information, leave a meeting, or leave a group. No leader may obstruct departure.
Safety Rules
No philosophical purpose makes preventable harm acceptable.
These are minimum conditions for meetings and group infrastructure. A Group Unit may adopt stronger safeguards.
Public first contact
First in-person meetings should occur in a public or appropriately supervised place. Avoid isolated private residences for a first encounter.
No secrecy demands
No participant may demand secrecy about harm, sexual conduct, threats, financial pressure, or communications with a minor.
Respect boundaries
Harassment, unwanted sexual conduct, intimidation, humiliation, stalking, coercive confession, and retaliation are incompatible with participation.
Emergency priority
When immediate harm is possible, contact local emergency or protective services first. A website report is not an emergency response.
Rules concerning minors
A minor remains a genuine Personal Unit and should be heard according to their developing capacities. Operational protection does not reduce their intrinsic value or make their views irrelevant.
- A parent or legal guardian must consent before a minor joins or creates a Group Unit, attends a Fidence Path meeting, or exchanges direct private contact information through the network.
- For in-person meetings, the parent or legal guardian must accompany and supervise the minor. A group leader or unrelated participant does not replace that responsibility.
- For online meetings, the guardian must approve the platform and participants, remain aware of the meeting, and be reasonably available during it.
- Adults must not initiate private one-to-one communications with minors through group contact information. Communications should include the guardian or occur in a supervised group channel.
- No sexualized interaction, grooming, private gifts intended to create dependency, secret meetings, transport without explicit guardian authorization, or requests for images are permitted.
- Images, recordings, precise locations, and identifying information about minors require specific guardian authorization and must still serve the minor’s best interest.
Host responsibilities
A host should identify exits and emergency contacts, describe the meeting form, provide a visible way to leave, avoid intoxicated or armed facilitation, respond to accessibility needs where reasonably possible, and stop conduct that creates immediate risk. Exact addresses should normally be shared only after appropriate contact rather than displayed publicly.
Reporting and protective action
Reports are triaged as ordinary or urgent. Credible immediate-risk reports may result in temporary removal from public listings while facts are reviewed. The operator may seek clarification from the reporter, affected person, manager, or witnesses; preserve relevant records; restore the listing; add a warning; keep it private; or remove it. Retaliation against a good-faith reporter is prohibited.
Immediate danger
Contact the emergency, child-protection, or law-enforcement services available where the person is located. In Brazil, this may include emergency police at 190, emergency medical services at 192, the local Conselho Tutelar, and Disque 100 for human-rights violations. Then, when safe, report the concern to Fidence Path so the public infrastructure can be reviewed.
