When every life enters the same view
What can become the final direction when every experience carries the same intrinsic importance?
Another person’s happiness matters because, from within their life, it is as real as yours is from within your own.
Now allow awareness to move beyond that one person.
The next person also experiences happiness and suffering from within. Then the next. Their faces, histories, and ways of living may be completely different—but the reason their experiences matter remains the same.
The recognition begins to extend naturally from one life to another.
Not because we decide to give them equal importance, but because we continue finding the same reason for importance wherever experience exists.
The view expands. The recognition remains.
Awareness does not need to rebuild this understanding for every person individually.
Once we recognize what makes one experience matter, we can recognize it wherever the same capacity to experience exists.
Distance does not change it. Familiarity does not create it. Affection may bring someone closer to us, but it cannot make their happiness or suffering more real in itself.
The lives entering the view continue to change. The reason they matter does not.
And so the conclusion becomes unavoidable: every experience deserves to be considered with the same intrinsic importance.
When the whole view becomes a direction
Once every life enters the same view, the question begins to change.
It is no longer only:
What would make my life better?
It becomes:
What would make life better across every experience my choices can reach?
Your happiness does not lose its importance. It remains fully present—but now beside happiness that is just as real in every other life.
As the view expands, so does the direction it reveals.
What began as the recognition of another person becomes a way of seeing what matters most.
